Our Facility

Serenity Garden’s philosophy of care is especially evident in the design of the building and grounds. Aging presents an ever-changing set of unique challenges and maintaining mobility is a high priority. Indoors and out, Serenity Gardens goes far beyond ADA requirements, featuring barrier-free, enhanced mobility. Low profile, smooth floor transitions, wide hall and doorways, sturdy rail supports, roll-in showers and lowered, accessible sinks and storage are just some of the details that help make life easier for those with mobility challenges.

Appeal

Incorporating a panoramic mountain view into facility design adds greatly to the quality of life. Natural light from expansive walls of glass and skylights brighten everyone’s day as it unfolds. Serenity Gardens captures the feel of home with three separate dining and living rooms, each within its own wing. Residents enjoy home-like space designed to be open, bright, and at the same time sized to a human scale.

Green Facility

And the “Gardens” we are implementing the concept of Food Not Lawn with a twist. Addition of more handicapped-accessible, raised-bed garden plots is planned. Residents relish the eatable bounty of our Food Not Lawn program, as they watch the gardening process, or actively participate. All savor the fresh flavors that are brought to the table. In tandem with our budding Food Not Lawn program, Serenity Gardens has a state-of-the-art solar hot water system. Another green initiative is in the works for a photovoltaic solar system to provide self-generated electricity. We care about our residents and the planet. Please stop by, let us introduce ourselves and show you what Serenity Gardens has to offer.
